Our Story
My name is Miguel Gallegos, owner of Twisted Tines Hunting Services, alongside my wife, Zoe Gallegos. Thank you for visiting our website. I was born into a hunting family where harvesting our own game has been a way of life for generations. Both of my parents are avid hunters, just as my grandparents were before them.
I am proud to carry on those traditions and to pass them down to my son and daughter, just as they were passed down to me.
As a native New Mexican, born and raised, I have been blessed to grow up in the mountains of northern New Mexico — country I’m fortunate to call my backyard. These mountains shaped who I am today. Hunting runs deep in my veins, and the outdoors has always been my passion. Hunting, fishing, and family are at the core of my life.
Becoming a licensed New Mexico outfitter has been a lifelong dream. I’ve always wanted the opportunity to share my knowledge, experience, and passion for the outdoors with others. Today, that dream is a reality.
I thank God for blessing me with the opportunity to pursue this calling and for allowing me to share these experiences with each of our clients.

I have been guided by Twisted Tines for Six seasons now with great success. I started by arranging a last-
minute elk hunt for my son as a high school graduation present. My son had no hunting experience at
all and very little shooting practice. After a few range trips with expert coaching from Twisted Tines to
get our rifle checked out and sighted in for the shooting distances we were expecting, we were ready.
The tag was filled by 8:30AM the first day with a single shot! Since then, I have harvested five elk and
one very nice mule deer (I only drew a deer tag once) and I am looking forward to hunting with this
outfitter again this fall and for years to come.
These people have lived in and hunted New Mexico for generations. The guides are friendly and
knowledgeable. They have shown amazing skill at locating game, whether for trophies, the freezer, the
camera, or simply just for a really great experience in a spectacular part of the country. The entire family
gets involved, with parents, brothers, sisters, cousins, kids, all willing to help, if needed, to ensure client
satisfaction.
As you can tell, I have been entirely happy with Twisted Tines as I’m sure you will be also.
